Julia's 1st Trip to Roseau!

We made our first trip up to Roseau with Julia!  She did a great job in the vehicle during the long drive (there was one outburst around Detroit Lakes on the way to Roseau, but she got over it!).  Our first stop was to introduce Julia to Great-Grandma Sorteberg! 

Julia was given a beautiful baby shower at Concordia Church on Saturday, March 24 at 10:30 am.  Thanks to everyone for all of your work and planning!  It was a wonderful morning!

Our baby girl is so blessed to have so many generous people in her young life.

Saturday evening we had a birthday party for Carson!  Gavin is showing us that Carson turned one!  What a cute smile Carson has as he anticpates getting a piece of that cake!

Rick and Anna's Wedding

We traveled to Anna and Rick's wedding last weekend in Fargo.  It was a beautiful weekend (70's in March!?!?!).  Congrats to a great couple!  Sorry, I don't have any pics of the happy couple.

Daddy did a great job dressing our little dolly for the wedding while I was doing my duty as personal attendant to the bride!  So precious!

2 months old

Julia was 2 months old on February 7.  She is growing  up so fast.  I have started to put away some of the clothes that no longer fit her.  It makes me sad to put them away, but I'm so happy we have a healthy, growing baby.  I came across the outfits she wore as a newborn... wow, she was sooo tiny.  I can't imagine what I'll think as she gets even bigger!

So sweet!

Grandpa Lee made this beautiful dresser for Julia.  It is great to have more storage in her room.  It matches her crib and changing table really well.  She will be able to keep this dresser forever! What an awesome gift!

Grandma Lee loves to read.  Julia was relaxing with Gradma during story time.

It has been in the 70s this week.  Crazy weather for March.  I was excited to get her in her little jean skirt.  Too cute!  : )

Let's Read!

Mommy loves books and I think Julia will love books just as much!  Julia is now starting to enjoy looking at the pages when we read to her!

In honor of Dr. Seuss' birthday we read Cat in the Hat and One Fish Two Fish Red Fish Blue Fish. I'm sure her book collection will continue to grow! : )

She has really started to enjoy spending time on her play mat.  She loves looking in the mirror and batting at the toys.  When she kicks her feet she plays the piano, too!

She has started to be really smiley during the day.  Hopefully, I can catch some smiles with the camera!

Julia's One Month Photo Shoot!

We took Julia to Target Portrait Studio on Sat., Feb. 11 for her one month pictures! She did a great job and the pictures turned out wonderfully!

What a Sweetheart!

Julia had a cute little outfit she wore for Valentine's Day!  What a sweetheart she is!

My co-workers had a Baby Shower for us on Thursday, Feb. 16 at school.  Julia was so spoiled with many great gifts!

Grandma Rudebusch and Minnie Mouse (I mean Julia).  She got this cute outfit from Uncle Paul and Aunt Brieann in a package of a bunch of Disney stuff!  Adorable!

Grandpa Rudebusch, Sleeping Beauty and Gus!  She loves to be swaddled at night (somehow she manages to get her hands free every once and awhile). 

She had her 2 month check-up on Tuesday, Feb. 21 (even though she is only 6 1/2 weeks).  Dr. Ojha is heading to India for a month so we got her appt. in before the doctor left.  Mommy didn't like this appointment much because the poor little girl had to get her 2 month shots.  Ouch.  Julia screamed when she got her shots, but we held her and gave her the pacifer and she soon relaxed again.  Good job Julia!

Weight: 10 lbs. 2 oz. (47th percentile)

Length: 22 inches (61st percentile)

Head circumference: 15.25 inches (87th percentile)

The doctor said we had a healthy baby girl!  Thanks be to God!
