Julia meets Santa!!!!

On Saturday, we went to the Hutch Mall to see Santa.  We also were lucky enough to see Santa's horse at Runnings!

 Hi Santa!!

Smile, Say Rudolph!!

Mommy, This guy is funny looking.

Santa's horse.  His name is Frosty.

I'm not sure about this horse.

After Thanksgiving

We took some pics with Grandma and Grandpa Lee and the grandkids for a Christmas card, but I can't post them since the picture shouldn't be revealed til it hits the mailbox.  : )  It turned out pretty darn cute, though!

Here are a couple pics from Saturday night.  We spent the day with Grandma and Grandpa Lee, Garrett, Cilla, Gavin and Carson.  Fun times!

Happy Turkey Day!

We have so much to be thankful for this year!  Thanks be to God!  We sure miss Jeff though.

We got to Skype with Jeff on Thanksgiving morning (it was Thursday night for him).
 There's Daddy!
Julia was such a good little girl and enjoyed seeing all of her family!
 "Cheese!"
Grandma even let Gus get in on the Thanksgiving goodness a little bit! Oh dear!
Great-Grandma just loves Julia!  So precious!
Grandma and Grandpa sure love their little girl!
Cousins... no they were not watching the game, just slapping Emmett's TV and pushing buttons! : )
"Emilee, let me show you what to push!!"

Busy Girl!

Wow, what a busy little girl we have.  She is getting into everything. Gotta love it, right!?!
 She loves "Puffs."
She loves them THIS much (as she shovels them in her mouth!)
Julia and Gus play together now.  It is fun to watch them play tug o war!

This little girl managed to open up Gus' kennel.  She found his water dish to play in!  She was pretty intrigued!
 Splish, splash!
She pulls herself up on everything. This week she has started to open and close the cabinet doors in the kitchen. Watch out for pinched fingers!

We'll Miss You Daddy!

We had to say "good-bye" to Daddy this morning. Obviously Julia didn't know what was going on, but Mommy did.  We'll miss you Daddy and we hope that you have a safe trip.  Can't wait for you to come home again.
The pic is not very good quality but cute of Jeff and Julia.

I took this picture of Julia before I took her into daycare this am.  Jeff usually brought her to daycare so now Mommy does drop off and pick up.  What a happy little girl! We are so thankful for a healthy, beautiful baby!

Happy Halloween 2012!

It seems a certain little girl may have gotten into Mommy and Daddy's candy stash! She loved playing with the Reece's PB cups. She would take them out of the bowl and then put them back in (they definitely kept her attention!).

She wore a Halloween shirt to daycare today... "Mommy's Little Pumpkin!"  She even got a treat bag from Devanne today (with Julia's kind of treat... baby food)!

Mickey Mouse and Gus were playing a little bit!

Runaway mouse!

She didn't like getting in her costume all that much (she got hot and sweaty pretty quickly).  We snapped some pics and she played in it for awhile...

She made a pretty darn cute Mickey Mouse!  Happy Halloween!

9 Months Old!

Wow, I can hardly believe it, but our BABY is now 9 months old!  She had her 9 month appointment on Monday!  Here are her stats:
Weight is 20 lbs 8.8 oz (84th percentile)
Length is 28.5 inches (82nd percentile)
Head circumference 17.9 inches (89th percentile)

We have a very healthy and beautiful baby.  She is now doing all kinds of wonderful things.  She crawls EVERYWHERE.  She has started to do a "push off" with her left leg instead of the regular crawl.  She loves to pull herself up on things, especially if she sees the remote in view! She is also really enjoying books with textures in them... she likes to "pet" the kitties or puppies in the book!!  She is wearing 12 month clothing.  She isn't a huge fan of dresses, cuz she can't crawl around as easily.  She pulls on them as if she is annoyed!  She eats a lot.  She still has 5 bottles everyday. Plus she has breakfast (cereal), lunch and supper (baby food and mashed potatoes and small pieces of cut up fruit).  She loves to eat Puffs and yogurt melts for snacks.   Julia has 3 teeth (two on the bottom and one on top!  You can see the bottom two in some of the pictures!

Just love those beautiful blue eyes!  Happy 9 month birthday Julia!

Grandpa and Grandma Lee came to visit this weekend.  Julia sure had fun showing them all she can do now!

Julia was reading her new Halloween book before bedtime.  Such a happy girl!

Julia got this super cute hat from Grandma Lee!  It will keep those ears warm and it is so stylish!

"Grandpa... you have such big fingers!"  Grandpa and Grandma Lee brought down Mommy's wooden table and chairs set she had as a little girl.  Julia sat in the chair like a big girl and slapped her hands on the table or played with toys!  : )   It will be so fun for her to use the table as she gets older (I imagine lots of tea parties and coloring!)

"I'm such a big girl!  Look at me Mommy!"

Nelson Farm

Today we spent the afternoon out at Nelson Farm in Litchfield.  It was absolutely beautiful outside.  There were so many things to see and do at the farm.  It was a lot of fun.  We even ran out of time to do the corn maze (It took the pic below of their maze from their website).  I'm sure this is a place we will go as Julia continues to get older because she will enjoy the activities even more as she grows.
2010 Corn MazeNelson Farm Pumkin Patch Festival

Poor little girl has a cold this weekend (icky nose), but she enjoyed the day anyway.  Also, she is cutting her FIRST TOOTH!!!  We won't have that gummy smile for much longer.  The bottom tooth on the left side is making its appearance... I noticed it on Friday night.

Daddy telling Julia all about the chickens.  I'm sure Uncle Mike will have lots more to tell her in about a month when Aunt Margie and Uncle Mike are in Hutch for the chicken show.

The baby chicks are soooo soft and cute.

Mommy and Julia pet the calf!  It has been a while since Mommy has touched a cow.

Julia's 1st time down a slide!

Is that I look of amazement?! Nope, no expression.

Mommy and Daddy competed in a game of Corn Cob Golf.  It was quite entertaining!

Julia tried to give mom a few pointers on her form!

Before we watched the Pumpkin Flinger Thing (aka... the Trebuchet) we went on a hayride around the pumpkin patch.  Julia likes watching the tractor and listening to Daddy make tractor noises!

Mommy's 7th grade students use mini versions of trebuchets in a lab in her science class, so Mommy enjoyed watching the big trebuchet in action.  They flung a pumpkin into the lake with it!

Julia's Favorite Places...

These pictures were taken last Saturday morning (9/22).  I had to document some of Julia's favorite places in our house.

She loves to hang out under the kitchen table.  She really enjoys pulling herself up on the wood bar and then on the chairs.
"I'm having so much fun, mom!"

She also likes to play with Gus' kennel.  We keep it locked, but I'm sure she would crawl right in if we let her.

She also loves chasing after Gus.  They now play tug-o-war with his toys.  It is so cute to watch them play together!

Our smiley little girl!  Love ya!
