Nelson Farm

Today we spent the afternoon out at Nelson Farm in Litchfield.  It was absolutely beautiful outside.  There were so many things to see and do at the farm.  It was a lot of fun.  We even ran out of time to do the corn maze (It took the pic below of their maze from their website).  I'm sure this is a place we will go as Julia continues to get older because she will enjoy the activities even more as she grows.
2010 Corn MazeNelson Farm Pumkin Patch Festival

Poor little girl has a cold this weekend (icky nose), but she enjoyed the day anyway.  Also, she is cutting her FIRST TOOTH!!!  We won't have that gummy smile for much longer.  The bottom tooth on the left side is making its appearance... I noticed it on Friday night.

Daddy telling Julia all about the chickens.  I'm sure Uncle Mike will have lots more to tell her in about a month when Aunt Margie and Uncle Mike are in Hutch for the chicken show.

The baby chicks are soooo soft and cute.

Mommy and Julia pet the calf!  It has been a while since Mommy has touched a cow.

Julia's 1st time down a slide!

Is that I look of amazement?! Nope, no expression.

Mommy and Daddy competed in a game of Corn Cob Golf.  It was quite entertaining!

Julia tried to give mom a few pointers on her form!

Before we watched the Pumpkin Flinger Thing (aka... the Trebuchet) we went on a hayride around the pumpkin patch.  Julia likes watching the tractor and listening to Daddy make tractor noises!

Mommy's 7th grade students use mini versions of trebuchets in a lab in her science class, so Mommy enjoyed watching the big trebuchet in action.  They flung a pumpkin into the lake with it!

Julia's Favorite Places...

These pictures were taken last Saturday morning (9/22).  I had to document some of Julia's favorite places in our house.

She loves to hang out under the kitchen table.  She really enjoys pulling herself up on the wood bar and then on the chairs.
"I'm having so much fun, mom!"

She also likes to play with Gus' kennel.  We keep it locked, but I'm sure she would crawl right in if we let her.

She also loves chasing after Gus.  They now play tug-o-war with his toys.  It is so cute to watch them play together!

Our smiley little girl!  Love ya!

Tomorrow is Julia's Last Day of Day Care... at Tracy's

Julia will be starting a new day care on Monday as Tracy, our current provider is moving out of town.  Julia had only been there for a little over a month, but seemed to really enjoy it.  Tracy reported that she liked to chase the boys... there were three little boys that she got to hang out with every day.  We hope that she does as well at Devanne's daycare.  I'm sure she will... she will even have a little girl to play with that is just a few months older than Julia!

In other news Julia has been enjoying playing outside on these beautiful fall days.  Mommy had to be in St. Cloud last Saturday so Julia and Daddy hung out at home.  These pics were from last weekend...  Isn't she cute in her pink jacket and Nike hat... Daddy even put shoes on her!

What a happy girl!

Julia loves to hold on to Gus' leash.

Julia has been trying to pull herself on just about everything.  We are not sure what she is trying to do here... climb the fridge or kiss her reflection!?!  She has pulled herself up (all on her own) twice when near the couch.

She is growing up so fast.  It is so fun to watch her learn and explore.  She loves to hang out underneath the kitchen table and play with Gus' kennel.  Oh, and she loves to play tug o war with Gus using his toys.  It is adorable.  It is very difficult to change diapers on this tornado of a girl.  She is always on the move.

Skol Vikings!

We had a nice weekend.  This afternoon we had some friends over to watch the first Vikings game of the year.  Well, the guys watched the game and the gals watched the kids! : )
Julia had fun watching the older girls build a tower.  Wow!
She wore her "Where's the Lefse?' shirt! She is ready for Thanksgiving to give it a try.

No lefse?! I guess I'll just have to eat my hand.
Daddy and Julia in their Vikings jerseys!  Thanks Grandpa and Grandma, I love my pink jersey!

Gettin' Some Apples...

We spent a very beautiful Sunday afternoon out at Carlson Apple Orchard.  We even had some yummy apple pie.
