Our First Excursion!

Julia is 3 weeks old today.  We went on our first big excursion with an infant today and it was for a very special event.  Our wonderful friends Sue Sparboe and Mark Miller were married today in St. Paul!

This HUGE statue is on the main floor of the St. Paul Courthouse.  We bundled Julia up and used her stroller for the first time downtown St. Paul.

Julia is 2 Weeks Old Already!

It is hard to believe that our little girl is 2 weeks old tomorrow (Saturday, Jan 21).  Where has time gone?

Garrett, Cilla, Gavin and Carson came to meet Julia last weekend.  Uncle Jeff and Carson... Carson is a very busy little boy and oh, so cute!

Julia is a really good baby!  We are so blessed!

Julia had her 2 week check-up today (Friday, Jan. 20).  She did such a good job... passing all of her tests! 

Her current stats:

Length- 21 inches (88th percentile)

Weight- 8 lbs 0 oz. (49th percentile)

Head circumference- 14.25 inches (84th percentile)

She didn't mind getting checked by the doctor at all!  Julia has gained back (and then some) the weight she lost after her first few days in this world.  They like to see babies back at their birth weight be the 2 week check-up.

"Hi everyone! I'm growing!"

We plan to enjoy a relaxing weekend at home and maybe catch up on some sleep (good luck, right)!  : )

Grandma and Grandpa Lee came on Saturday and stayed all week.  It was so nice to have extra hands (for cuddling Julia) and great meals/treats prepared for us!

First bath!  Daddy gave Julia a sponge bath on Wednesday.  She lost her umbilical cord on Friday afternoon... soon it will be time for a real bath!

The weather has been unseasonably warm.  This is our house with no snow on the ground... can you believe it?!

39+ weeks

 Jeff has been taking my belly picture for me every week!  It has been fun to see the growth!  This picture was taken on Tuesday (4 days before the Baby's due date).

A Week for New Things!

Just call us SPOILED!!! 

 My China Cabinet was delivered on Wednesday afternoon. I have been saving the money I received from gifts (birthdays/Christmas/graduation) so I could buy this hutch. I spent all day Thursday washing up the beautiful items that have been packed away in boxes since our wedding so we could display them!  

 We got our new leather furntiture delivered this afternoon.  It is awesome!

 Jeff got home from work and tested out all of the reclining options.  I plan to take out my snowmen tomorrow and decorate the shelves.

Gus and I found comfy spots on the reclining/rocker sofa!  Jeff and I plan to relax, watch a movie and enjoy our new furniture/fireplace/entertainment stuff.

Christmas with the Rudebusch Family

It was great to have the Rudebuschs with us for a few days to celebrate Christmas.

Paul and Brieann came from FL for the holidays!

Mike and Susan spoiled us with some very nice gifts!

Baby Rudebusch is due in less than 2 weeks. 

Jeff went to Best Buy on Tuesday and got his BluRay player and sound system... using his gift cards that he got for Christmas!  We couldn't wait to watch a movie using the new TV and equipment, so we got out the folding chairs!  How comfy, huh?  Our new furniture is supposed to be here on Friday.  It will be so fun to spend time downstairs with our beautiful entertainment space.
