Tomorrow is Julia's Last Day of Day Care... at Tracy's

Julia will be starting a new day care on Monday as Tracy, our current provider is moving out of town.  Julia had only been there for a little over a month, but seemed to really enjoy it.  Tracy reported that she liked to chase the boys... there were three little boys that she got to hang out with every day.  We hope that she does as well at Devanne's daycare.  I'm sure she will... she will even have a little girl to play with that is just a few months older than Julia!

In other news Julia has been enjoying playing outside on these beautiful fall days.  Mommy had to be in St. Cloud last Saturday so Julia and Daddy hung out at home.  These pics were from last weekend...  Isn't she cute in her pink jacket and Nike hat... Daddy even put shoes on her!

What a happy girl!

Julia loves to hold on to Gus' leash.

Julia has been trying to pull herself on just about everything.  We are not sure what she is trying to do here... climb the fridge or kiss her reflection!?!  She has pulled herself up (all on her own) twice when near the couch.

She is growing up so fast.  It is so fun to watch her learn and explore.  She loves to hang out underneath the kitchen table and play with Gus' kennel.  Oh, and she loves to play tug o war with Gus using his toys.  It is adorable.  It is very difficult to change diapers on this tornado of a girl.  She is always on the move.

Skol Vikings!

We had a nice weekend.  This afternoon we had some friends over to watch the first Vikings game of the year.  Well, the guys watched the game and the gals watched the kids! : )
Julia had fun watching the older girls build a tower.  Wow!
She wore her "Where's the Lefse?' shirt! She is ready for Thanksgiving to give it a try.

No lefse?! I guess I'll just have to eat my hand.
Daddy and Julia in their Vikings jerseys!  Thanks Grandpa and Grandma, I love my pink jersey!

We spent a very beautiful Sunday afternoon out at Carlson Apple Orchard.  We even had some yummy apple pie.

Look Out, We Have a Crawler!

When did our little girl get so big!??!?!  She has been scooting around on the floor now for some time, but over the weekend she really enhanced her skills!  Of course, the remote control is a wonderful motivator and Gus' toys are, too.  The two things I don't really want her to have!  We have some video of it, but the file is so big it won't upload on here.  I'll have to snap some pictures of her!
We are so proud of our little sweetheart!  It is a good thing we put the baby gate at the top of the stairs of the weekend.  She discovered the little things behind the doors that prevent the doors from slamming into the walls, boy, are they fun to play with!  Mommy has been busy baby-proofing the house!
Speaking of the weekend, we had some visitors on Sunday. Mark, Brenda and Emilee stayed with us on Sunday night. Of course I didn't pull out the camera until it was bedtime, but at least I got a couple pics of Emilee and Julia. It was so nice having them here! Love ya guys! (By the way, Gus really misses Mark... he spoiled him with lots of walks.)

Julia with a goofy face before bedtime and Emilee as cute as ever!
"Mmmm, these fingers are kinda yummy, but Mom, when do I get my bottle?"

Julia's 1st Day at Day Care!

Yes, we all survived the day!  Oh, I knew we would, but it is just so hard to leave that sweet baby girl.  I have been SOOOO blessed to be home with her for the first 7+ months of her life.  Tracy, her day care provider will be very good with Julia.

Mommy dropped Julia off at 7:15 this morning with a pack of diapers, wipes, a couple changes of clothes, 2 bottles and milk.  Tracy and Mommy talked for a few minutes while Mommy gave Julia some more snuggles.  Mommy passed Julia on to Tracy while saying bye-bye to her baby girl.  No tears were shed by Mommy or Julia.  Amazing, I know!
Tracy reported that Julia only took one 1 hour nap in the morning and a 2 hour and 15 minute nap around noon.  She played (but mostly watched and wondered) about the 3 little boys that are in the day care with her.  She played on the exersaucer, played with rattles, blocks, Little People and listened to stories and music.
Mommy picked Julia up around 3:15 after she was done with work for the day.  She was so happy to see her little girl and Julia even gave Mommy a big smile when she saw her.
Tomorrow, Daddy will drop Julia off and Mommy will pick her up after work.  That is how it will normally work.   Then Julia will be home with Mommy for the rest of the week.  Next week she goes to day care 3 days.

Julia Goes Swimming

Julia went swimming on Saturday in the pool that our friends (the Anderson's) weren't using anymore.  We didn't fill it up very high because we knew it would be a short swim anyway!  She mostly enjoyed chewing on the sides of the pool!
Our bathing beauty enjoying some pool time!
This is soooo fun! : )
I'm gonna chew on Froggy's hand!
Hey there Mr. Frog!  What's new with you!?
Gus, the life guard!
