Nelson Farm

Today we spent the afternoon out at Nelson Farm in Litchfield.  It was absolutely beautiful outside.  There were so many things to see and do at the farm.  It was a lot of fun.  We even ran out of time to do the corn maze (It took the pic below of their maze from their website).  I'm sure this is a place we will go as Julia continues to get older because she will enjoy the activities even more as she grows.

Poor little girl has a cold this weekend (icky nose), but she enjoyed the day anyway.  Also, she is cutting her FIRST TOOTH!!!  We won't have that gummy smile for much longer.  The bottom tooth on the left side is making its appearance... I noticed it on Friday night.

Daddy telling Julia all about the chickens.  I'm sure Uncle Mike will have lots more to tell her in about a month when Aunt Margie and Uncle Mike are in Hutch for the chicken show.

The baby chicks are soooo soft and cute.

Mommy and Julia pet the calf!  It has been a while since Mommy has touched a cow.

Julia's 1st time down a slide!

Is that I look of amazement?! Nope, no expression.

Mommy and Daddy competed in a game of Corn Cob Golf.  It was quite entertaining!

Julia tried to give mom a few pointers on her form!

Before we watched the Pumpkin Flinger Thing (aka... the Trebuchet) we went on a hayride around the pumpkin patch.  Julia likes watching the tractor and listening to Daddy make tractor noises!

Mommy's 7th grade students use mini versions of trebuchets in a lab in her science class, so Mommy enjoyed watching the big trebuchet in action.  They flung a pumpkin into the lake with it!
