Summer Time!

Summer is here!  I have been out of school now for a couple of weeks and the weather finally feels like summer.  Julia and I have been enjoying our time at home (we hang out outside, go shopping, play with toys, read books, and the latest is to watch Sesame Street... she actually has an attention span for that).

This pic was taken in the middle of May at 16 months or so.

Julia waiting for Daddy to come home.

Garrett, Cilla, Gavin and Carson came to town on Father's Day weekend.  It was also Water Carnival Weekend... we got to go to 2 parades.  This pic was taken after the short kiddie parade on Saturday. The parade on Sunday was great and quite long (LOTS of candy).

The kids played in the backyard.

Julia LOVES her sand table. She plays with it every day that the weather is nice.

We went to the park down the street and played too. "Ready, GO!"

Bath night for Carson and Julia (Gavin was at the Twins game with Garrett).  Should have gotten a pic of the two of them in the tub, but Julia wouldn't sit down (thankfully, she is done with that stage now).

I thought I could snap a couple of pics of them on the couch, but they are on the move.

Julia loved playing with all the candy from the parade that her cousins shared with her (and auntie and uncle enjoyed eating it!).  She would put it in and out of the bowl over and over.

What a sweetheart! : ) I can't believe Julia will be 1 1/2 in just a little over a week. Time flies!

It has been awhile since I posted!

Time flies... we have 4 school days left (for students) and then I'll be at school a while longer doing some "teacher stuff."

We have not had a very nice spring this year, but we have made the best of it.   Mike and Susan came down for the weekend a couple of weeks ago.  We had a nice time.  Then, we had a great time up in Roseau for Memorial Day.  I neglected to take pics at my mom and dad's when they hosted a Memorial Day picnic at their house on Saturday.  It was a lot of fun to see everyone. On Sunday night we enjoyed some time at the Roseau City Park!

Julia has been climbing up on furniture lots since Memorial Day weekend...  check out the little video!

"Game Face"

We enjoyed watching Julia and her "Game Face" during supper tonight.  She is such a hoot!  Click the link for the video.

Game Face

Julia had her 15 month appointment today.  It is amazing to see how she has grown and developed.
Dr. Ojha enjoyed seeing her today and thought she still looked a lot like her daddy!
Here are her stats from today:
Weight: 23 lb. 8.6 oz (79th percentile)
Length: 32 3/4 inches (97th percentile)--- tall girl!
Head circumference 18 3/4 inches (74th percentile)

Julia loves action songs.  Her favorites are "Head, Shoulders, Knees and Toes," "Itsy, Bitsy Spider" and her newest favorite is " If Your Happy and You Know It."  She is still signing the following words: milk, more, eat, sleep/nap, and now she has started to do "Thank You."
She absolutely loves to play with Gus... she giggles at him all the time.  This video link shows them playing together last night.  Playing with Gus

Julia's 1st Baptismal Birthday!

Julia was baptized one year ago today (we will always remember the date since it is Tax Day)!  We brought out her baptism candle at supper tonight.  She thought the flame was pretty neat.  We told her about her special day and all the family and friends that came to our house that day to celebrate.

Julia, you are a child of God!

Snow Day... AGAIN!

We woke up to A LOT of snow again this morning.  It was so disappointing since we finally were able to see grass again (for about a week).  Good news: a day at home for Mommy and Julia.  Bad news: Mommy has to make up the day in June at work

When Daddy got home we went outside to play in the snow for a little while!

"Hey, mom, what is this stuff?"

Julia's 1st snowman... just a little guy... we are hoping he melts very soon!

Julia did start playing in the snow when it was time to go back inside... supper was ready!  Oh well, she'll get to play with it more NEXT YEAR!

We are gonna have so much fun outside when the weather warms up.  Come on spring, we are ready for you!

Happy Easter!

We had a wonderful extended weekend up north for Easter this year.  It is so nice to spend some relaxing time with family!  Grandparents enjoyed Julia to the fullest!

Here is our little Easter Bunny!
Grandma had the grandkids decorate the Easter Bunny cake... Gavin did a great job with the details!
Gavin listened to Grandma as she gave him some instructions!
Julia added a few jelly beans, too!
Grandpa and Julia sharing a cookie for breakfast!
 Happy Easter!
Julia had fun with empty Easter eggs... putting them in/taking them out of the basket!

"See all my eggs, Great Grandma!"

Julia even got in on a game of Scrabble this year!
 Our family pic!
The grandkids (and Easter cake) with Grandma and Grandpa Lee!
Julia decided she wanted to feed Grandpa during the photo shoot!
Oops, got a little frosting on Grandpa's face!
Julia tried to keep up with her older cousins!

He is not here; he has risen! Remember how he told you, while he was still with you in Galilee:  ’The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, be crucified and on the third day be raised again.'

Day Trip to MOA!

We went to Mall of America on Tuesday for a quick day trip.  Julia was finally starting to feel better after her week + of being sick.

We hit a few shops, walked around a bit and then went to SeaLife aquarium. Here a few pictures from our afternoon...

Julia seemed to enjoy looking at the fish and sharks at the aquarium.  It was pretty neat to see them so close.  She also enjoyed walking down the long tunnel (of course, she didn't get to see many fish that way though!).  It was getting really close to nap time so we grabbed a treat before hitting the road back home.
